ANZ claims males are inferior - and call that equality?

"While neuroscience shows girls' brains develop ahead of boys, this advantage is not maintained through life, with women too often falling behind."

So the chain of logic is that

a) girls brains develop faster

b) boys catch up

Therefore, despite absolutely no supporting evidence, they decide that that means girls are somehow persecuted?

By what?

Biology? Is Biology.. Patriarchy?!!!

Gasp!

#equalfuture, says the organisation that pays men less than women for the same work.

#equalfuture, says the organisation that sees males as innately inferior to females, and all biological evidence to the contrary as simply proof of their oppression.

This is the equality that #Feminism promises - the equality of Animal Farm, all animals are equal - but some are more equal than others.

This is why I fight Feminism. Look at the comments. No Feminist is critical of the doublethink. Instead, there are men arguing "yes, we are inferior!"

Feminism drives men and boys into the dirt. It pushes men to suicide, it pushes men to turn away from the world and give up on getting anywhere in it.

And it hurts women, too, because despite Feminist doctrine, there are a lot of women who want men in their lives, and are terribly hurt to lose a partner or a husband or a son to suicide.

I look at the Feminists I know who have sons, and I despair. How can you love these boys - while raising them to be victims? Teaching them that they are inferior, that their place is as willing slaves to women, #HeForShe?

And yet Feminists will always make excuses. It feels good to be a Feminist; you are told how superior you are simply for being born.

And when you stand at the funeral, and see the casket lowered, I wonder - what consolation will that be?

Another go at Spring Cleaning (2.05) for Fallout 4

I'll never understand why you can't get rid of the rubbish in standard Fallout 4. Humans do not live with giant piles of junk in their homes - they are dangerous and unpleasant, and easily removed.

And there's brooms everywhere in this game, not to mention a robot with cleaning as an obsession!

So the "Spring Cleaning" mod tries to counter that weirdness - and it used to work - but now it's not effective against all the things it was before. Admittedly, I've only looked at the drive-in settlement so far.

See the bollard is highlighted in yellow? This indicates the mod is at least partially working, as unmodified Fallout doesn't you get rid of them.

It's esp and esm are last in the load order, so they should be overriding anything else - not that i can see anything else that can scrap items.

So why can't I scrap the leaves, grasses and other junk piles now?

I wish there was a clean way to get a list of installed mods etc - as far as I know, screenshotting is the only way, or doing a directory list of the esp/esm files i suppose, but that won't include load order.

Is Feminism a cult?

A response to https://archive.is/ugi8a

"FEMINISM IS A CULT. ok no, it isn’t a cult. cult: “a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object.”"

image

https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=definition+cult

noun: cult; plural noun: cults    a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.

   "the cult of St. Olaf"

a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.

       "a network of Satan-worshiping cults"

synonyms: sect, denomination, group, movement, church, persuasion, body, faction

a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.
"a cult of personality surrounding the leaders"

synonyms: obsession with, fixation on, mania for, passion for, idolization of,

devotion to, worship of, veneration of

"the cult of eternal youth in Hollywood"

a person or thing that is popular or fashionable, especially among a particular section of society.

EVEN BY YOUR OWN CHOSEN DEFINITION, YOU FAIL.

"I have no religious beliefs"

Prove it. Who invented Patriarchy Theory? Is it testable? Falsifiable? Was it treated critically by Feminists?

image

Of course not.“feminism doesn’t worship people“

There’s been lots of cults which didn’t - you don’t know dick about history. Many of them regarded humans as scum. Some advocated celibacy as a way of ending human existence, and saw giving birth to children as damning them.

But Feminism certainly elevates women - always talking about how mundane acts empower them - and demonises men - taking the same act and seeing something sinister when a man does it.

A man and a women share a drink, and screw. The Feminist screams

Raaaape!

Why? Because the woman couldn’t possibly consent - the evil man must be tricking her into the act.

This isn’t a hypothetical - Feminists have gotten this into College Laws, and snuck it into Australian Laws through back doors.

There’s nothing rational about this belief, but it is held to firmly, and dissenters are denounced as heretics and threatened with violence.

“There irony is that true feminism wants men and women to be afforded equal opportunities“

I see - so all the millions of Feminists running about are not ‘true’ Feminists? This reminds me of the many Christians I have met who have told me that all the other Christians are not true Christians.

Because those illusionary Feminists are the one you lot appoint to power. They run organisations like NOW, Ms Magazine, WEL, the Australian Human Rights Commission and so on and so forth. They are the ones speaking at the UN Conventions, they are the ones running political offices and speaking nightly on television.

You are surrounded by them and choose to be blind to them. Tell me again how you have no faith?

Feminists fight directly against equality -
in wages,
treatment by the law

even in recognising men as being human

image

You say anyone who opposes you, opposes equality?

So did others - they turned their country into a graveyard.

Experimenting with Settlement Raiding Mod (warning: minor Spoilers)

I know an old lady who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
I guess she'll die.

I know an old lady who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her.

She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
I guess she'll die.

Settlement Raiding Mod by Faceless Wastelander

Sanctuary Hills. As you can see here, trying with ghouls (slow zombies) and raiders on easy worked fine. But the bodies never disappear.

I start an invasion with the Institute on Insane difficulty.

The less advanced synths attacked, the coursers attacked if i said hello, and the rest just followed me like a rabid fan club. Dogmeat knows better than to stick around when stuff like this is going down.

So I figured, hey, maybe I can use a spider to eat the fly! I spawn the Brotherhood of Steel. Vertibird and Giant Robot attacked as expected.. then the rest of them just followed me around as well.

And no, no fighting.

Gorramit!

That's me in the black helmet with a sniper rifle on my back. Also, Jetpack. Don't leave home without it.

Soooo many tourists. Ugh.

I wonder if I can sell them souvenirs?

I walk off. Previously I had fast travelled and waited at other settlements. Today I think I'll see how far they follow me.

Past Red Rocket... I just wish an enemy would lob a grenade at me, to see if they are passive, or will fire back. I'm in powered armour, without the minigun.

Concord... kinda wishing I could skip right to invading the Institute. Surrender, for I have reprogrammed your army against you! Or at least find some bloody super-mutants; their area of effect attacks should trigger a hostile reaction, surely?

It looks like some raiders have spawned in Concord. It's not going to be their day. I want to emphasise, the army beside me is not under my command. They just like my company, I guess.

You can see the original Deathclaw's corpse here. They really need to get the garbage collection better organised.

I'm gonna pick... option 3!

Seriously, they should run. I'm in powered armour. They reference it in dialogue. I have a huge gun, and I'm in powered armour. And they have.. what... improvised pistols? Gadzooks!

Of course, the fan-club only makes it even more hilarious. Like challenging the Chinese army to a duel.

I found Starlight Drive-In. Looks like the fan-club doesn't like the moles. Sweet!

I almost feel sorry for them.

All the way to Corvega now. I really hope these guys aren't set to essential; I haven't seen any bodies yet, but let's face it, most everyone is embarrassingly puny compared to them.

Codsworth can't believe his eyes.

From the perspective of the raiders.

Yes, unnamed raider, I'm sure you are adequately equipped to take them on!

I bumped into some gunners around a tank, which they ignored. The gunners started neutral - then attacked. I'm always disappointed with that aspect of FO4; so many of the NPCs are mindless.

You'd think they'd try to negotiate, maybe even have an option where they can be talked into joining the Minutemen - some gunners are ex-Minutemen and an offer of an amnesty could work.

As terrible as their deeds, there are worse creatures, and maybe under the rule of law, they can become productive citizens instead of dangerous militias. It happens, historically.

I bumped into the alien. They zoned into the cave and shot him down. I wasn't sure they would follow me into dungeons. Neat!

Diamond City. At last!

Diamond's city's finest is under attack from Super-mutants!

I find synth bodies afterwards - at last, the war is taking it's toll. I mourn for ye, oh my brothers of silicon.

Diamond city guards then snark about me not helping.

There's no pleasing some people.

Feminists boast of hacking Wikipedia

“He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him.”

Thomas Jefferson, Aug. 19, 1785

" Why do men still control our history? "

What sort of Orwellian Police State are you from that you think ANYONE controls history?

"it’s also one of the most gender biased entities in the Western world"

.. and your evidence for this slur against the contributors is?

"studies show that up to 90 per cent of them are men"

Oh right - they are men - therefore they are sexist.

That's your reasoning. Gadzooks. Not a trace of self-awareness in there, is there? It's all hard vacuum. People should stand clear of you, you'll shatter and implode if you ever fall over.
"Student Emily Temple-Wood discovered one of the most well-known instances of sexism on Wikipedia, identifying more than 4,000 female scientists - including fellows of the Royal Society - who did not have a page on the site"

So if other people haven't done the work she wanted to have been done, that's proof they must hate women, or something.

Big effing deal. Most everyone in the history of history itself isn't there. The few who are there are because volunteers do it - what you are really proving is that Feminists are lazy buggers who are outraged when others won't spend their free time on their desires.

We do not exist to please you.

There was no barrier to her creating a page, there's no conspiracy to prevent others doing so - and yet she spread mud over the reputations of all the other people who gave of themselves for it.

Wow, Feminists, you really are awful people.

"female writers were systematically and intentionally being removed from the ‘American Novelists’ page"

And your proof is? Another opinion piece. Did you get the opinion of the Wikipedia editors? Of course not, because they might have refuted your claim.

It's so much easier to have a kangaroo court when you don't even notify the accused, let alone allow them a defense.

"about subjects such as Gamergate - which saw developer Zoe Quinn and other women in the games industry trolled"

You don't know what the word "troll" means, do you? No, it doesn't mean when people say stuff you don't like.

"when a handful of users edited the Gamergate page to reflect events from a feminist perspective"

And there it is. You decided to take it from being objective - by your own words, the goal of it - and slant it to your liking. Which is no different from having the US Democrats write the article on the Republican Party.

You are the opposite of Wikipedia - through you, human knowledge is lessened. You are the opposite of objective - you are propagandists, enemies of truth, believers in lies and lovers of lies.

And when the last of you dies, the world will only know relief.

Review of Fallout Mod "Spring Cleaning", by Nverjos

Spring Cleaning

I decided I just had to give this mod another go, and didn't get the CTD I had before. This is one of the things I find makes me cynical about people who say we shoudn't worry about problems with a game, because modders will fix it.

Yes, modders can fix a section, that will break another if combined with a mod that fixes another section, and no, the game devs will not help you to sort it out.

We shouldn't need mods to get the basic game working properly, and removing the old housing, and landscaping the terrain, should be basic functions.

And it's the latter I have problems with in Croup Manor. It's a horrible settlement location.

Ghouls spawn inside the building, so it makes sense to seal it up, or at least level the building - but i find settlers appear inside sealed off sections, because raisins.

So I tried removing the building - only to find that leaves a steep hole that all the settlers run into - they are greatly attracted to it, maybe there's a gravitational anomaly. I tried sealing in the hole with foundations, but the game won't let you do that.

It's frustrating that I can build a reactor, but I can't pour concrete or even shovel dirt into the holes! I have to wonder why Bethesda overlooked that.

So I had to reload the game

- no undo function in the game, because it's a console game and you should be glad they let PC users use it at all, no, they aren't going to take advantage of a keyboard, console controls are enough for everybody, godammit!

-and install turrets next to ghoul spawn locations.

Ugh! What a kludge.

This mod would probably work best with a new game, as it's a pain to try and clean up the rubbish after you have placed buildings on top of it (and the rubbish often clips through floors and walls). It works well in Sanctuary and the Castle, as well as the Drive-In.

With the latter, I wasn't happy that I couldn't replace the dirty bench sections of the cafe area with clean ones - perhaps another modder could find a substitute.

Care must be taken in Red Rocket as you can remove some of the items that give the place flavour.

Fallout Dreams

I'm wandering, but everything looks impossibly clean, almost as if..

I'm back. I know where I am. Home. Then I see him, and feel dread. It's coming.

I rush to my son's bedroom - but there's no-one there. The house is empty. I'm too late.

I follow the path I took before, to the Icehouse. The cold place, the worst place. I'm frantic; I have to change what will happen, I have to save my family.

I see all my neighbours, my friends. They shiver in terror, they weep. They will die soon, or be twisted into monsters.

I want to help them but I can't. I don't know what to say.. is it worse to go inside Icehouse, and be murdered, or die believing you were denied salvation?

Soldiers at their posts, their fear masked by metal. I didn't see their bodies. Did they survive, somehow?

I get to the vault, but it's too late. I see as if I rode the bomb. The bomb, the bomb.. is falling... but it's here, this time, and there'll be no survivors. I feel ... relief.

... but then I am back, where I was soon after I left Icehouse and began to see the horrors of the Wasteland.

I am in Concord, and I have to get to the Power Armour. Footsteps. Dooms, doom, doom. I have to run... but I sink into the ground like it's mud, and it holds me in place.

I hear the Deathclaw huffing, but I can't bear to turn and watch it's approach. I can only hope my death is swift.

Testing of the Inter-settlement Teleportation Network

All photographs curtesy of Cait, showing off her powered armour flying skeelz.

Some last second repairs to the Drive-In Settlement teleporter taking place - while I'm in the middle of it..

Am I worried? It's not like the beam is live and I could die horribly - oh wait - it is!

My life flashes before my eyes. Two hundred years of it involved being frozen in a cryopod. Yay?

I hear Cait take off. I hope she doesn't get caught up in the power lines again.

The techie says he's good to go; he was a scientist, pre-war, working on something of the precursor to this, and between him, Sturges, Tinker Tom and PAM's calculations, we think it'll work.

The Emergency Medical Facilities at Icehouse Base are our first port of call. Then, Castle Headquarters.

There's talk of finding a way to use this to access Prydwen with strike teams if we need to, but I'm not too keen on that; even tethered, the damn thing moves too much for my liking.

But there's no reason they couldn't be working on this tech too - can we really wait until they beam nukes into our bedrooms?

It's now or never. Across the Commonwealth I go.

Assorted Fallout 4 Settlement Piccies

I told the robots to herd the cattle back for milking.

Might have been a mistake. Herding, they don't get. Stacking, yes.

Supermutants attack a settlement. Bad move.

They run. Not fast enough.

My army returning afterwards. Humans, ghouls, and robots, all united in their love of carnage.

I really wish the Assaultrons'd cool down before coming inside, I'm running out of fire extinguishers.

My garage - Cait photobombs. She really doesn't understand my obsession with photography.

Move it, girl!

Thank you!

The sky's a'changin'. Might have to move the car under cover - whoops, forgot to build the drive way. No worries, I'll carry it. Time to hit the power armour!

Cait reminds me of how I got it up there. She's a dab hand with that thing.

... and on the other side, my favourite vehicle!

I haven't got it working... yet.

Oh, the Vertibird? Yah, works fine. It's how I got the thing here. The BoS might be a bunch of racist ...(speciest?)... jerks.. but they do make nice stuff.

You can see their Zeppelin thing in the background, upper right.

No, it's not mine. Not unless they start being naughty!

Now... I didn't arrange them like this. Just came up the hill and found them. Not sure if they are organising a revolution - or a dance.

Don't ask me what's happening to the breeze there... only one flag affected? Maybe the big robot out front glued it down - must be boring being on sentry duty all the time!

The caravans stop over there, by the trees grown from Institute seedlings. Did I mention I reprogrammed the 1st gen Synths to help me evacuate that place? And armed them with sedative dart guns? So almost all the humans and 3rd gen Synths survived?

Because I'm not an idiot, or a genocidal maniac, like certain factions I could mention?

Just thought I'd mention that.

Merry Xmas, one and all!
